Taxes and Swing Dancing ** (Happy Tax Day!)
Well, since I forgot to write something wishing everybody Happy Easter, I figured I'd go for the next holiday.

Happy Tax Day Jitterbuggers!!

As Jay Leno said last night on his show, today combines two of our favorite entities: The Post Office and the IRS. If you also need to go to the DMV today, then consider yourself having a complete day!

Anyhow, so with our dance workshop coming up and my mind just going ziggy-zaggy, it was inevitable:

*drum roll*

Ben's Top Ten: How Taxes are like Swing Dancing:

  1. It can leave you feeling hungry, tired, achey, and up until 4 in the morning.
  2. Unless you are confident in what you are doing, it is easy to feel intimidated.
  3. Actually, even if you are confident in what you are doing, it is still easy to feel intimidated.
  4. Counting correctly is very important. (Don't forget to carry the one!)
  5. Some prefer to do it fast, some slow, some with careful precision, and some with reckless abandon.
  6. Some even think they do it better after consuming large amounts of alcohol.
  7. Some will even lose their shirts!
  8. Common terms could include: "holding period", "limited partnerships", and "rollover".
  9. For many, it keeps them on the computer for a REALLY LONG TIME!

And the number one reason!!!

  1. It is one of the sure things in life!!
