Rockstar Workshop #1: Jazz Dance Workshop
(a.k.a. "Four Rockstar Teachers, Two 2-hour Workshops, One Awesome Day" Workshop)
Come and learn two of the most popular jazz line dances in the swing community from four of the most popular swing instructors in the world. (That's a lot of "popular" for one day!) And with TWO HOURS spent on each dance you will not only get details on the steps but also the stylings as well!
That's right! Learn the steps and jump in on those line dances! Learn the fancy movements and spice up your Lindy styling and musicality!
And woowoo - have some fun!!

Dean Collins Shim Sham (1:00pm to 3:15pm)

Taught by the originators of "Hollywood Style" lindy, Erik Robison and Sylvia Skylar are two of the most well-known instructors in the world, and for good reason! Besides having a list of credentials a mile long (or more, depending on what font size you use), their teaching skills can have you up and dancing in no time and their personalities ensure that dull moments are few and far between. Come spend two hours with Erik and Sylvia and they'll teach you this smooth version of the Shim Sham with its syncopations and intricate styling that will be sure to please.

The Big Apple (3:45pm to 6:00pm)
(with David Frutos and Kim Clever)
Taught by longtime veterans David Frutos and Kim Clever who have been dancing and teaching forever (or at least since the late 80's), this workshop promises to be entertaining and educational with their brand of wit, humor, and knack for teaching. Being well known for their instruction in both solid fundamentals and flashy jam circle material, David and Kim are the perfect duo to teach this fast and lively line dance that will have you out of breath (and probably a few pounds lighter) by the end of the day.

Both workshops will most likely be run at an intermediate pace. All levels are definitely welcome to attend, especially as there are a lot of neat jazz movements in each dance which can definitley accentuate your Lindy Hop and swing dancing. Please just be aware that the pace of the classes will be at an intermediate level.
NOTE: We will have to limit this workshop to 35 people. Due to the studio size, we will need to limit the class size. Thanks for your understanding.
